WIN FOR JACK DANIELS RACING!
After qualifying 12th for Saturdays race at the Shycity Triple Crown in Darwin, Rick kelly (in car #15) went on to win the race after a safety car restart late in the race, involving Jamie Whincup and Mark Winterbottom. This is the 2nd race win for Rick Kelly this season, the first being at the ITM Hamilton 400. Todd Kelly (in car #7) demonstrated outstanding car pace, fighting to 16th position after qualifying 24th.
Sunday's race was less memorable for Jack Daniels Racing, with Todd recording a DNF after the front left wheel came loose causing damage to the car forcing it into the garage. Rick showed good pace but went off the track after getting caught in oil on the approach to turn 1, dropped by John Bright's Commodore which had suffered an engine failure. Rick fought back into the top 10, but deteriorating tyre conditions saw him fall back to finish in 20th place.
