Each year Clark Equipment supports various charities under their Clark Charity Challenge scheme. This year Bear Cottage Manly was chosen as an ideal charity. Bear Cottage is a children's hospice that was established in 2001 to help families cope with the impossible - to care for a child who has a life-limiting illness. Bear Cottage is the only children's hospice in NSW, one of only two in Australia, and the only one in the world affiliated with a children's hospital
On Friday, 14th March 2014, Clark Equipment held a fundraising ball at Hornsby RSL to raise funds for Bear Cottage. The ball was attended by Clark Equipment staff, suppliers, business partners, family and friends. Guests enjoyed an evening of games, raffles, auctions and dancing. The ambitious target: to raise $20,000 for this worthy cause.
All proceeds from ticket sales and funds raised on the night were donated to Bear Cottage and with the generous support of staff, family, friends, suppliers and customers, a total figure of $18,231.55 raised. Clark Equipment is well on the way to reaching their goal of $20,000, and will be continuing to raise further funds through other fundraising events throughout the year.
