Sydney, Australia - Clark Equipment will showcase the newest Ingersoll Rand air compressor for the drilling industry at Drill 2010 in Adelaide, South Australia, between September 22 - 25. The Clark Equipment stand will feature the new Ingersoll Rand XXHP1270/XHP1500 compressor, as well as displays of a hydraulic powered air module and an airend.

Drill 2010 is an annual tradeshow and convention sponsored by the Australian Drilling Industry Association (ADIA). ADIA represents more than 750 drilling contractors, suppliers, consultants and associated organizations, providing professional and technical leadership in the advancement of the drilling industry.

The Ingersoll Rand XXHP1270/XHP1500FCAT open-frame air compressor is ideal for use in environments where a small footprint, a high-flow and an extra-high pressure system is required, including applications suhc as underbalanced, quarry and coal-bed methane drilling, nitrogen generation, or offshore drilling.

The XXHP1270/XHP1500FCAT has a small footprint that is crucial for remote drilling sites, especially when space is limited and efficiency in equipment transport is necessary. The compressor delivers 42.5m3/min of free air at 24.1 bar and 36.8m3/min at 34.5 bar; providing the highest power density in the industry in terms of the flow/pressure combination from a standard compressor package.

The XXHP1270/XHP1500FCAT compressor is powered by a 522kW Caterpillar C-18T 6-cylinder diesel engine. This compressor package is designed to run as clean as possible while maximizing fuel efficiency. The package comes standard with an aftercooler, allowing water to be removed from the air for a more controlled quality for downhill drill or membrane applicatins. The oil carryover is less than 2 parts per million resulting in less contamination of filter membranes and reduced oil cost between changes.

The XXHP1270/XHP1500FCAT is the newest of an expansive range of Ingersoll Rand portable compressor range from Doosan Infracore Portable Power. The range includes one of the most comprehensive air compressor lines on the market with 34 models covering free air deliveries from 1.8 to 45.3m3/min at output pressures from 6.9 to 34.5 bar.
