The opportunity:
Reporting to the National Aftermarket Manager, the Product Support Specialist will maximize operation time and product reliability by providing maintenance support and technical support across the materials handling range with a focus on the Omega product. They will provide field support to customers, dealers and branches alike. Proficiency with troubleshooting and performance is required.
This is a partly hands-on role (but 70% less tool time than a field role) which will at times require them to carry out diagnosis, repairs and commissioning in field.
Based in Sydney at the site of Omega manufacturing meaning the product support specialist will undertake inspections of equipment post-production giving you great access to product from production to field.
The product support specialist has the opportunity to offer their expertise out to our network of dealers and branches through providing proactive training in a collaborative, team environment.
The role would suit a previous Field Service Technician, with good product knowledge looking to make a step forward in their career. As both a manufacturer of the Omega heavy truck range and distributor of other well renowned products, this is a unique opportunity to grow and evolve as well as support Australian made product in the field.
What we are looking for:
A proven aftermarket specialist after a new challenge. A strong understanding of capital equipment is required with the successful candidate likely having notable experience in the forklift and materials handling industry.
They need to enjoy a dynamic environment, have strong problem-solving skills and a keen focus on the customer. Additionally, the candidate should have:
- Engineering or trade certification / qualification
- Prior experience in supporting / maintaining / servicing similar equipment.
- Strong technical proficiency including sound maintenance and repairs experience
- Customer / internal relationship building skills
- The ability to advise, whilst train, offer good customer service and jump on the tools when needed
