General Stores Yard Person - Cairns - 4901



Clark Equipment a leading construction & material handling equipment supplier, requires a reliable person to fill the above position in our site at Cairns Site.


The successful applicant will be willing to take on a variety of tasks. Your day to day responsibilities will include but not limited the following key duties: 

- Maintaining a well organised, safe and clean work site.
- Cleaning responsibilities & general yard work.
- Maintain stores and warehouse
- Receive and dispatch freight
- Parts interpretation
- General workshop duties.
- Forklift operation ticket essential. (High Risk Licence (LF)
- Receiving customer equipment in & out and conducting appropriate quality checks.


Other tasks will include general duties involved in:

- Stocktaking of equipment,
- Submitting critical delivery and condition reports,
- Delivering Parts to Field Service staff as required.
- Assisting Service, Sales and Parts Departments’ when needed.
- Registering machines on behalf of Sales Support
- Preparing machines for sale.


Essential attention to detail as accurate documentation will be required for all equipment received or dispatched. The type of person we seek will have the following attributes:


- Current QLD driver’s license,
- Current forklift license (High Risk Licence (LF)
- Ability to drive construction equipment EG: Excavators and Bobcat loader are also required.
- The ability to multi-task.
- Possess a real “can do” attitude.
- Team Player.
- Have a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of enthusiasm.
- The willingness to work some Saturdays.



  • Computer based skills
  • Construction industry experience
  • Understanding of Warehouse Operations


You will be required to complete a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Test if successful. You will also be required to provide us with at least two work related referees whom we can contact at the beginning of the recruitment process.


This is a full time position after a qualifying period with career advancing opportunities.
